Since first opening our doors in 1988, Cyril H Lovegrove Funeral Directors in Tilehurst, Reading, has had the honour of guiding local families through the emotional journey of loss and helping them celebrate the lives of their loved ones. We’re here to help you in any way we can. We’ve been arranging funerals across Berkshire for more than a century, with our roots here in Reading. Our warm and modern Tilehurst funeral home has on-site parking as well as being conveniently located on the local bus route. Our home is wheelchair accessible, though should you prefer, we can also discuss your needs by phone or online. We have a second Reading funeral home in Caversham and our funeral directors are well regarded in the community for our high standards of care and compassion. Our dual locations help us serve families in Norcot, Calcot, Kentwood, Sulham and beyond. A funeral is deeply personal, and we offer choice and value in order to meet your specific needs. Our funeral services start from £995 and we’ll work with you to plan a funeral befitting your loved one. From an unattended cremation to religious services of all kinds, themed commemorations to woodland and green burials - however you choose to say farewell, we have the knowledge and experience to make it happen. This is the fee for our funeral director services, support, and co-ordination:
| Taking care of all necessary legal & administrative arrangements | £810.00 |
| Collection of the deceased from the place of death (up to 15 miles) into the funeral director's care | £205.00 |
| Care of the deceased whilst with the director | £580.00 |
| Providing a suitable coffin (basic) | £270.00 |
| Viewing of the deceased for friends and family | £20.00 |
| Taking the deceased to the agreed cemetery/crematorium in a hearse or other appropriate vehicle | £340.00 |
| Cremation (funeral director's fees only) | £995.00 |
| For an Attended or Un attended burial, the burial fee | £2,225.00 |

| For a new grave, you will also need to pay for the plot; for an existing grave with a memorial in place, you may need to pay a removal/replacement fee. In addition, the cemetery may charge a number of other fees. For an Attended cremation funeral, the cremation fee. | |
