John Brown worked as a funeral director in Norwich for many years before starting his own business in 1970. Although he started off Constitution Hill in Sprowston, in 1972, he bought the site of the Old Catton Methodist Church on North Walsham Road, Sprowston where you can still find us today. John worked hard with his family and built his business, being joined by David Bridge in 1996. David had been in the funeral profession since the age of 16 and having passed the business onto him, he ran the funeral home with over 40 years of experience. Sadly David passed away in 2019 but his partner Trish has taken on the business, running it in his memory. The funeral director can give you a full list of what they can supply. They are likely to charge for these additional products and services, so you may choose to take care of some arrangements without their involvement, or you can use a different supplier.
1. This fee (which is sometimes called the interment fee) is the charge made for digging and closing a new grave, or for reopening and closing an existing grave.
2. In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, you will usually need to pay doctors’ fees as well. This is the charge for two doctors to sign the Medical Certificates for Cremation.
