Based in Belfast, O'Kanes Funeral Directors is a fourth generation family business that combines old fashioned ideas of care, quality and service with a modern approach, responsive to the needs of today. O’Kanes was run by Hugh O’Kane until 1940 where after Hugh Dougal from the Ormeau Road in Belfast purchased the company and has been run by the Dougal family every since. The company today is run by Hugh JP Dougal (iii), his son Hugh F.Dougal (iv) and team of highly trained staff. 1. This fee (which is sometimes called the interment fee) is the charge made for digging and closing a new grave, or for reopening and closing an existing grave.

2. In England, Wales and Northern Ireland, you will usually need to pay doctors’ fees as well. This is the charge for two doctors to sign the Medical Certificates for Cremation.
